Let Go and Let God

If you are to be approached by a well known international company, that they want your advice on an endorsement or a contract they want to give someone who unknowingly to them has hurt you and made you bitter. Maybe someone who has destroyed certain things in your life and this contract might be the breakthrough or turning point for this person, as a CHRISTIAN would you advise the company to go ahead or not.

As a carpenter went home after shutting down his workshop, a black poisonous cobra entered his workshop. The cobra was hungry and hoped to find its supper lurking somewhere within. It slithered from one end to another and accidentally bumped into a double-edged metal axe and got very slightly injured. In anger and seeking revenge, the snake bit the axe with full force. What could a bite do to a metallic axe? Instead the cobra’s mouth started bleeding.

Out of fury and arrogance, the cobra tried its best to strangle and kill the object that was causing it pain by wrapping itself very tightly around the blades.

The next day when the carpenter opened the workshop, he found a seriously cut, dead cobra wrapped around the axe blades. The cobra died not because of someone else’s fault but faced these consequences merely because of its own anger.

When you hold resentment toward another, you are bound to that person or condition by an emotional link that is stronger than steel. Forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and get free.

Do not let the anger and bitterness you have towards someone cause you to also destroy lives. Learn from the pain they’ve caused you, forgive them but don’t be a fool.

They might have offended you but God still loves them. I know people who destroyed their own lives because of the pain someone caused them, they couldn’t let it go because of bitterness and they ended up losing their good selves. Let Go and let God.
